We are “mixing” it up this year! Join us for the Kings and Queens of the Court Mixed Doubles tournament. There will be kings and queens on every court, but only one Royal Duo will be crowned King and Queen of the Court!

This doubles tournament has teams playing against different but similarly skilled players. Teams will move up or down the courts after each round of play. The goal is to reach or remain on the top court – the Royal Court!

· November 7 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon

· Cost: $50 Per Team

Play is open to all levels. There can be no more than a .5 rating difference between players. (Ex. 3.5 player and 4.0 player) Exception: The male player can be 1 point lower than the female player. (4.0 female player with a 3.0 male)

Prizes for winners, and refreshments for all! Plus, door prizes.

The tournament is limited to the first 20 teams to register.

Registration deadline is Saturday, Oct 31.

Rules of Play

Each team will be assigned a court at check in. There will be a 10-minute warm-up for all players prior to the start of the first round. Each round will last 25 minutes. Scoring will be NO AD. When the whistle sounds, the point is completed, and the round is over. Unfinished games will not be counted. Should there be a tie, players will spin the racquet to determine the winner of the round.

The winning team moves up a court, and the losing team moves down a court, except for the top and bottom courts. For the top court, the winners remain on that court, and for the bottom court, the losers remain on that court.

The next round begins once all players are in place and continues for 25 mins. When time is up, players continue to move up and down the courts as described above.

Play continues for 5 rounds or until 12:00, whichever comes first. The team winning on the top courts in the final round are the winners and declared King and Queen of the Court.
